Microwave ...my new TOY ! !

Here is the dish I did ‘Shree Ganesh’ with….microwave

‘Waved’ cashew….
This is one of the easiest things to make. You need :

Cashew nuts…
Any oil (olive will taste x-lent).
Salt (to taste)
Spices ( what u like)
Microwave

Take cashew nuts in the microwave bowl. Sprinkle little olive oil , now this should be just enough to cover cashew nuts. Add salt. Than add some spices, here I add oregano which comes with your Domino’s pizza. Put it in microwave for 50-60 seconds. Let nuts go little brown. After that is done, let those nut cool or else it will be soft. After cooling only they will become crunchy and salty.
This goes really well with juces. This is served if you happen to go to Birlas.
Enjoy…

Lovely NRI Ramayan....Must read...

A young second generation Indian in the US was asked by his mother to explain the significance of "Diwali" to his younger brother, this is how he went about it...

" So, like this dude had, like, a big cool kingdom and people liked him. But, like, his step-mom, or something, was kind of a bitch, and she forced her husband to, like, send this cool-dude, he was Ram, to some forest or something... Since he was going, for like, something like more than 10 years or so. he decided to get his wife and his bro along... you know..so that they could all chill out together. But Dude, the forest was reeeeal scary ... really man... they had monkeys and devils and like that. But this dude, Ram, kicked ass with darts and bows and arrows... so it was fine. But then some bad gangsta boys, some jerk called Ravan, picks up his babe (Sita). And boy, was our man, and also his bro, Laxman,... all the gods were with him... So anyways, you don't mess with gods. So, Ram, and his bro get an army of monkeys..Dude, don't ask me how they trained the damn monkeys... just go along with me, ok... So, Ram, Lax and their monkeys whip this gangsta's in his own hood. Anyways, by this time, their time's up in the forest..and anyways...it gets kinda boring, you know... no TV or malls or like that. So,they decided to hitch a ride back home... and when the people realize that our dude, his bro and the wife are back home... they thought, well, you know, at least they deserve something nice... and they didn't have any bars or clubs in those days... so they couldn't take them out for a drink, so they, like, decided to smoke and ..and since they also had some lamps, they lit the lamps also... so it was pretty cooool...you know with all those fireworks... Really, they even had some local band play along with the fireworks... and you know, what, dude, that was the very first, no kidding.., that was the very first music-synchronized fireworks... you know, like the 4th of July stuff, but just, more cooler and stuff, you know. And, so dude, that was how, like, this festival started................

Let your dreams awaken you

Some thin about sleep and dreams…! ! !
This is very interesting. You sleep all your life, but you have never met your sleep. Or like a person who is sitting at the dining table with a delicious, elaborate meal, without knowing how to eat it.
It is the same with our life.
Sleep is there but we do not know how to sleep! We dream everyday and we do not know what a dream is.
When you sleep you let go of everything. If you hold on to anything, can you sleep? In sleep, your identity vanishes. You are neither male nor female. There is no difference between a rich man’s sleep and a poor man’s sleep, between an intelligent man’s sleep or a stupid man’s sleep. Sleep is sleep.

Next come dreams. Ignorant people make their dreams a reality and enlightened people see reality as a dream! Utter ignorance is trying to interpret dreams. Enlightenment means realising reality is a dream. Do you see the difference? If you go to an enlightened person and say this is my dream, he will say “Forget about it and wake up”. When you go to a dream interpreter, they say, “Oh! this means that, that means this.” Such ignorance!
There are five types of dreams.
1. Which comes up in the form of cravings or your unfulfilled desires. They appear in dreams as fulfillment. Have you experienced this? Your latent desires always show up in your dreams.
2. The second type of dream is stress release from the past. All you have experienced in life comes up as dreams.
3. The third type of dream is an intuitive dream — where you think of what might happen in the future.
4 The fourth type of dream has nothing to do with any of these. It is to do with the place where you are sleeping. For instance, if you are sleeping in a hotel in Italy, in your dream, you may experience Italian sounds and feelings.
5. The fifth type of dream is a mixture of the four. You never know one from the other. So you cannot really distinguish a dream and say, “this is my intuitive dream”. It could be, it need not be. A wise person would simply brush them aside.
Even this waking reality is a dream. Now you are sitting and reading, tomorrow you will be doing something else somewhere else and next week all this will be a dream. What you would do next week is a dream right now. Your mind dreams more when it is awake.
You have only two states of consciousness. One is deep sleep and the other is the dream state.
A person who is day-dreaming does not know he is day-dreaming. The moment he knows that he is day-dreaming, he awakes to the reality that very moment, instantly. Are you day-dreaming? Are you sleeping? There can be only two possibilities. There is no third possibility……
Still day dremin?...hhhun?

Bath and Enlightenment ! ! !

Well this is a massage to all the people who do not cherish to take their everyday bath seriously (includes me too…). It goes this way:

Everyday early in the morning a Zen Master asked his disciples: how many of you have bathed this morning? Almost every body raise their hands dutifully. Next question: how many of you are aware you bathed when you did?
Not a single hand was raised.
Bathing is an act. Bathing with complete awareness that you are bathing is different. Today, all of you must have bathed (hopefully) and all of you were aware of what you were doing when you did that?
When you brushed your teeth how many of you were aware that you were brushing your teeth? When you were aware of the hot water on your body? Were you aware that your body was just getting ready after the bath, and your life was getting rejuvenated after the bath? How many of you were aware of all these things were happened?

A small Zen story:
A king went to a master, and asked: ‘Master how can I become enlightened? Tell me all the practices you do. What did you do to be come one? Pleas teach me’
The master says: ‘Oh! I eat when I eat; I sleep when I sleep that is all I do’.
The king could not understand. The master explained: ‘when I eat, I do not do anything else when I sleep I only sleep I do not do anything else’
But what we do? Recall how you eat. You will remember that you were watching TV or reading a magazine when you were eating. If you were calm, sitting quietly and eating your wife would have been there to report some problems in the house.
So in one way or another, when you eat, your mind does everything else but focus on the food and eating. You do every thing except eating.

We treat food with such scant respect. It is just a form of garbage bag. It withholds its energy unless you become aware of what you eat. If you treat your food with respect and are aware of what you eat when you eat, wellness results.
This is true even when you sleep! When you sleep you do everything else except sleeping. Because, only when have your nightmare and fear strokes. You then have disturbed sleep. When you are dead tired ….you sleep 100%.
Catch yourself in the act. Become aware. That will set your inner transformation in motion.
Ok …if does not make any sense to you….its fantastic….but it is certainly a great idea to take a bath …since it keeps people around you HAPPY and GAY ! ! !.

Quote of the week....

I have learned that you shouldn't speak unless you can improve on the silence....
